PowerApps is a powerful platform that allows you to build custom business applications with ease. While it provides various controls and functionalities, sometimes you may need more flexibility to achieve specific design effects. One such effect is creating gradient text, where the text transitions smoothly from one color to another. In this article, we will explore how to leverage the HTML control in PowerApps to create gradient text that will enhance the visual appeal of your applications.

To create gradient text using HTML control in PowerApps, you can utilize the HTML Text property of the HTML control and apply CSS styling.

Here’s an example of how you can achieve gradient text:

Insert an HTML control in your PowerApps screen. You can find it in the Insert tab.

Set the HTML Text property of the HTML control to the following code

“<div style=’font-family: Poppins Black, sans-serif; background: linear-gradient(90.41deg,#00549A .36%,#1771B8 11.96%,#34A8DF 23.57%,#36454F 35.17%,#00549A,#1771B8,#34A8DF,#36454F); -webkit-background-clip: text; -webkit-text-fill-color: transparent; font-size:120px’>Hello Crmonce</div>”

Here the Output

  1. In this code, we’re using the linear-gradient property to define the gradient colors. The “to right” value specifies a left-to-right gradient. You can adjust the color values (#FF0000 and #FFFF00) to your desired gradient colors.
  2. The -webkit-background-clip property is used to apply the gradient to the text only. The -webkit-text-fill-color property is set to transparent to make the text appear as a gradient.
  3. Save the HTML control and preview your app. You should see the text “Gradient Text Example” with a gradient effect.
