Powerapps Forms:

Whenever we create PowerApps form i.e. Edit or New with SharePoint Online List or DataVerse Table, which has a Rich text field or column. It always shows up a text field as default, not the actual data type i.e. Rich Text Field. How to convert or replace that particular text field into Rich Text Editor

Let’s follow the below steps to design or add a Rich Text column into the form, save data back into Rich Text, file into the SharePoint Online list with all desired or applied formatting,

Step 1. Create PowerApps screen with Edit Form.

1.Create a SharePoint Online List with one Enhanced Rich Text field.
2.Navigate to Https:/powerapps.com.
3.Add Screen and insert the Gallery & Edit Form, as well as add a connection with SharePoint Online List.
4.Bind Gallery with added SPO List connection; It starts showing the data.
5.Edit Form binds the Item property with Gallery1.Selected.

Step 2. Replace the Text column with Rich Text Editor.

1.Unlock the Status _Datacard1 and Delete the select the highlighted datacard value control.
2.Select Insert Tab & type Rich Text Editor and click to control to add a deleted position.

Step 3. Update configurable properties of Rich Text Editor.

Two important properties need to update.

1.DataCard Level, Select Update Property with RichTextEditor1.HTMLText.
2.Rich Text Editor control level, Select default property with ThisItem.SPO List RTE column name.

Output

On clicking the save button i.e. SubmitForm (Form Name), will save the formatted data into SharePoint Online List. Here is the output captured with different types of formatting.
