Convert whole number field to decimal number:
In this blog, we will see how to change a field data type from whole number to decimal number without affecting the existing data.
This is my current whole number field now i will change it as decimal number field
Go to the XRMTOOLBOX and open Attribute Manager tool
Next
- click on Retrieve Entities
- select your Entity
- select the Attribute(field)
- click on Convert Convert Attribute Type Box
- Now select the Decimal Number in the New Attribute type dropdown
Now after completing the above steps click on Execute Steps
After clicking Execute Steps it will 3 to 4 minutes to publish all
Now go and check the data in the records and the field properties.
