How to Create Calculated fields in Dynamics 365 CE

In this blog, we will show how to do calculation on fields in dynamics 365 ce.

1. Addition / Subtraction / Multiplication / Divide
We can do addition, subtraction, multiplication and divide in a same way with just changing the requirement what we want and follow the below steps to do.
I have created 2 whole number fields and 1 calculated(whole number) field to show the result

Cost 2

“Final Cost” to work with cost 1 and cost 2 and don’t forget to change the Field Type as Calculated before saving the field and once clicking on save next click edit button next to field type and also i was highlighted in the below image

After clicking Edit, we have to give the condition and action

Give the conditions as contains data for cost 1 and cost 2

Next add the action like what you want to do with cost 1 and cost 2 fields and i am adding the fields like addition.

If you want to do subtraction, multiplication or divide the fields just change the symbol highlighted in the above image.
Next click on the tick symbol and click save and close
