Preferred solution introduction:
All of the modifications that Makers make in an unmanaged solution by default are kept in the Common Data Services Default Solution. developing a new solution and making necessary adjustments to an existing component or developing some new components after generating a solution with the necessary publisher is generally the best course of action.
Components that Makers build outside of any solution can be immediately transferred to the necessary Preferred solution using this Preferred solution (Preview feature). This preferred solution can also be exported and imported into other Microsoft Dataverse environments.
Follow the below steps:
Click on environments and open the relevant environment
Open settings
Next go to the features in product
Next turn on the preferred solution
Next click on save
Next go to the make.powerapps.com
and select the relevant environment
Next go to the solutions and click on the highlighted button
Next select the relevant solution and click on Apply
now the preferred solution is updated
To test this open any entity in default solution and go to columns open a field do some changes. i am updated character count in a field
Now we can see the fields that we have modified in default solution
