In this blog we will see How To Send Mail By Using Segment Based Journey In D365 Customer Insight Journey  or Dynamics 365 Marketing.

Customer journeys in Customer Insight Journey is a essentially automated marketing workflows designed to deliver personalized experiences to your customers across various touchpoints.

Types Of Journeys:

  1. Triggered based Journeys
  2. Segment based Journeys
  3. Data based Journeys

 

In Dynamics 365 Customer Insights, segments refer to groups of customers or entities that share similar characteristics, behaviors, or attributes. These segments are created based on data collected from various sources, such as customer interactions, transactions, demographics, and more.

Step-1: Firstly Open your Customer Insight Journeys account in your browser.

Step-2:Goto AudienceSegments> +New Segment.

Next select your targeted audience. This could be “Leads,” “Contacts,” or “Accounts” depending on your business requirement. Here, My Segment name is “Demo Segment” next “Targeted audience” is Contact.

Finally click on “Create” button.

Step-3: Building Segment Criteria:

  • Elements Panel: Open the Elements panel by selecting the top icon on the right side of the window.
  • Choose Attributes: Go to the “Attributes” tab and search for relevant data points (e.g., demographics, purchase history, website behaviour) to define your segment criteria.
  • Drag & Drop Attributes: Drag and drop the desired attributes from the list onto the segment builder canvas.

Example: First name begins with B. Search Attributes on right side just double click on that it automatically moves to the Segment Builder Canvas.

  • Operators & Conditions: Use operators (e.g., equal to, greater than) and combine attributes with “AND” or “OR” conditions to create specific filtering criteria for your segment.

Here, I am using “or” Operator.

 

Here, My Condition Job Title  is “CRMONCE”.

When you’re satisfied with your segment definition click on save button.

To see a list of the First letter of “B” or Job title is “ CRMONCE” in the app fetched based on your definition, Click on Estimate option next select View sample of included members on the bottom toolbar. This gives you an estimate of who is in this segment.

Finally click on Ready to Use button.

 

Next Click on “+Use this to create a journey”.

Send an email. Because the first step in the journey is to send the product announcement, choose Product announcement email.

 

Click on + Symbol for to Add an email template, Next click on email option.

 

Once every step has been added to the trip canvas, it is prepared to message actual clients and go live.

It is a good idea to double-check that every step in the journey is just how you want them to be before posting, as the journey cannot be altered once it is published.

Now it will send Email according to your Condition.

Once the journey is published and live, you can look at the journey analytics page to understand how it’s performing.
