Advantages
- Power Apps support mobile devices. [Responsive UI]
- Microsoft Flow is pre-integrated with Power Apps.
- Info-path forms can be replaced by Power Apps, which can be used to develop responsive custom forms connected to a variety of data sources.
- Many data sources, including SQL, SharePoint, PowerBI, Excel, MS Access, etc., can be connected.
- Power Apps make it simple to connect and use many common data storage providers. There are numerous OOTB connectors accessible by default.
- As Power Apps Studio supports drag and drop, alteration, and modification within Power Apps Studio, CSS writing is essentially not necessary. – It is possible to configure CSS.
DisAdvantages
- We can run many instances of the app in play mode, but only one instance is allowed in Edit mode.
- The Windows Store, App Store, and Google Play are not accessible for publishing. We may access the power apps created in the O365 Platform using the Power Apps standalone app for Android and iOS.
Limitations
- You can only retrieve 500 items by default in PowerApps, and that number can be increased to a maximum of 2000.
- Only one developer may work at once if we are using the Canvas application.
- By using SharePoint as the back-end, attachment control will operate without a hitch. Attachment control will be disabled if we are using custom SQL. a workaround is to save attachments and references in the PowerApps using one-drive, SharePoint, etc.
- JavaScript cannot be integrated into power apps forms
